Meet Our Team
Stu Perlmeter - Principal and FounderStu brings 30 years of marketing and research experience to First Resource, which he founded in 1996. Stu's primary expertise is in interpreting how research can best serve management's need to find clear answers to essential business questions being considered.
Stu leads a team of talented researchers at First Resource who are specialists in all relevant disciplines of research: primary, secondary, qualitative, and quantitative.
Prior to launching First Resource, Stu has performed as a senior marketing and sales manager in several industries, including multi-media development, health information systems, and publishing. He formerly served as Director of Biomedical Communications at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Stu earned an MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver, and a BS in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.
Angela Stewart - Senior ConsultantAngela has 20+ years leading consumer and business marketing and product development organizations She has grown new sources of revenue through innovative market solutions for emerging high growth companies and large corporations. Angela has held senior executive positions for First Data Resources, Cisco, and MoneyGram where she was responsible for driving new sources through new product development, strategic alliances, innovative marketing, and effective sales management. Angela has an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia. She sits on the boards of marketing thought leadership organizations and has published articles on an array of marketing topics.
Renata Bradley - Senior AnalystRenata is a marketing and sales executive and former business owner with a proven ability to drive revenues and positively impact an organization. In 30 years, she has acquired broad-based expertise in consumer packaged goods management and marketing, sales acceleration/new business acquisition, and trade development. This expertise is creatively applied in market research assessments for First Resource clients to deliver relevant, actionable recommendations that business executives can appreciate and implement.
Prior to First Resource, Renata held senior management positions in a 10-year career at Pepsi, including Director of Category Management and Marketing Director for the $4.5B National Franchise business. She also led client acquisition marketing efforts at First Data’s Gift Card division. Renata developed significant brand management experience working on Keebler’s $230M premier cookie lines. Renata earned MS and BS degrees in Marketing & Communications at the University of Illinois.
Bruce Stouffer - Senior AnalystBruce has over 25 years of sales, channel, and marketing management experience in technology-driven industries. Bruce’s primary expertise is in indentifying market needs and developing and implementing programs to profitably exploit these opportunities. Bruce has held numerous senior executive level sales and marketing positions at companies in the software, hardware, and consulting businesses. Bruce has a BS in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Michigan and has taught Marketing & Sales Management courses at the university level and serves on the Board of Directors for several companies and non-profit organizations.
Laurie Brock - Senior AnalystLaurie is a research, publishing, and content development consultant. She has been involved in the information and publishing industries for nearly forty years and has extensive experience in marketing, workshop design and facilitation, as well as research and development of both print and electronic publications. Laurie also uses her research skills – survey design, focus groups, ethnography, and ideation – across numerous industries including healthcare, technology, and financial services, as well as with not-for-profits. She is an active volunteer in the Denver community and serves on the Board of Seeking Common Ground and Avenue Lofts. Laurie earned her MLS degree from the University of Denver and her BS in Marketing from New York University.
Paul Houston - Senior Competitive AnalystPaul is a highly-skilled primary researcher and analyst. He has specialized expertise in human resource issues and executive recruiting and works across a broad range of industries. His expertise includes management consulting services in the field of business research and analysis and talent acquisition. Paul was awarded a BS from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.
Patricia B. Sikora, Ph.D. - Research SpecialistPat offers clients over 25 years of experience in secondary, qualitative, and quantitative research, with particular expertise in customer loyalty, employee attitudes and wellbeing, and corporate culture and identity. Along with her deep corporate experience, Pat has coauthored numerous peer-reviewed articles and has presented to the Academy of Management, National Institute of Health’s Work and Stress Conference, and the International Association of Business & Management Conference among others. She earned a BS in Biology from Carroll College, MS in Urban Affairs from UW-Milwaukee, and a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from CU-Boulder where she was awarded the Albert Heyer Award for research in Applied and Organizational Psychology.
Allie Golon - Project ManagerAllie has sales and marketing experience from large (Eastman Kodak, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation) and varied organizations including those in the fields of education and psychology. An internationally recognized author, Allie is a subject matter expert in learning styles theory and brings her expertise in knowledge acquisition to her role at First Resource. She earned her BS in Marketing Management from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and her MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Jennifer Frederickson - Quantitative AnalystJennifer has over ten years of experience in marketing and research. She has worked with top Fortune 50 clients across a variety of industries including food and beverage, health and fitness, automotive, airline and technology. Her focus is primarily on creating custom quantitative research, as well as secondary data mining and qualitative research. Her work provides clients the insights needed to make strategic business decisions around market sizing and trends, consumer segmentation and targeting, messaging/advertising, and product development. Jennifer earned a Master's of Science in Marketing Research from the exclusive MSMR program at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006 and a Bachelor's of Business in Marketing from Texas A&M University in 2000.
Julie Seidel - Senior AnalystJulie brings 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, in both operational and consulting roles. Her background includes being a marketing manager at several venture-backed technology start-ups, founding a video editing company and consulting for companies in a variety of industries, from renewable energy to iPhone application development. Originally trained as a filmmaker, Julie’s strength is integrating disparate pieces of information into an organized story that helps clients understand both the overall business landscape and the tactical requirements for success. She earned a BA in Cinema and Television Production and an MA in Public Relations from the University of Southern California, and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Technology Management from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
