Meet Our Team
Stu Perlmeter - Principal and FounderStu brings 30 years of marketing and research experience to First Resource, which he founded in 1996. Stu's primary expertise is in interpreting how research can best serve management's need to find clear answers to essential business questions being considered.
Stu leads a team of talented researchers at First Resource who are specialists in all relevant disciplines of research: primary, secondary, qualitative, and quantitative.
Prior to launching First Resource, Stu has performed as a senior marketing and sales manager in several industries, including multi-media development, health information systems, and publishing. He formerly served as Director of Biomedical Communications at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Stu earned an MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver, and a BS in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.
Patricia B. Sikora, Ph.D. - Research SpecialistPat offers clients over 25 years of experience in secondary, qualitative, and quantitative research, with particular expertise in customer loyalty, employee attitudes and wellbeing, and corporate culture and identity. Along with her deep corporate experience, Pat has coauthored numerous peer-reviewed articles and has presented to the Academy of Management, National Institute of Health’s Work and Stress Conference, and the International Association of Business & Management Conference among others. She earned a BS in Biology from Carroll College, MS in Urban Affairs from UW-Milwaukee, and a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from CU-Boulder where she was awarded the Albert Heyer Award for research in Applied and Organizational Psychology.
Pamela Rogers - Senior Qualitative Research SpecialistPamela has perfected the use of traditional and non-traditional qualitative methods in order to assist in consumer, B2B, and healthcare decision-making. These methods include focus groups, mini-groups, in-depth interviews (in-person and telephone), online bulletin boards and interviews, and in-home immersions. Ms. Rogers has conducted over 2500 focus groups and 15,000 interviews among a diverse array of respondents. Pamela Rogers’ extensive marketing and advertising background at Walker Research (Indianapolis), FCB Advertising Chicago, DDB Needham New York, and Wells Rich Greene New York, provides the foundation for her insight into what makes customers tick. She has a BA in Psychology and an MBA from Indiana University. Her marketing research articles have appeared in Marketing News and Quirk’s Marketing Research Review.
Bruce Stouffer - Senior AnalystBruce has over 25 years of sales, channel, and marketing management experience in technology-driven industries. Bruce’s primary expertise is in indentifying market needs and developing and implementing programs to profitably exploit these opportunities. Bruce has held numerous senior executive level sales and marketing positions at companies in the software, hardware, and consulting businesses. Bruce has a BS in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Michigan and has taught Marketing & Sales Management courses at the university level and serves on the Board of Directors for several companies and non-profit organizations.
Paul Houston - Senior Competitive AnalystPaul is a highly-skilled primary researcher and analyst. He has specialized expertise in human resource issues and executive recruiting and works across a broad range of industries. His expertise includes management consulting services in the field of business research and analysis and talent acquisition. Paul was awarded a BS from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.
Jennifer Frederickson - Quantitative AnalystJennifer has over ten years of experience in marketing and research. She has worked with top Fortune 50 clients across a variety of industries including food and beverage, health and fitness, automotive, airline and technology. Her focus is primarily on creating custom quantitative research, as well as secondary data mining and qualitative research. Her work provides clients the insights needed to make strategic business decisions around market sizing and trends, consumer segmentation and targeting, messaging/advertising, and product development. Jennifer earned a Master's of Science in Marketing Research from the exclusive MSMR program at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006 and a Bachelor's of Business in Marketing from Texas A&M University in 2000.
